Turmeric polished

After drying the turmeric are polished to remove the rough surface antd changes the rough and dull appearance to a smooth surface of brownish-yellow colour. Polished turmeric is brittle; it has a smooth and shining yellow colour. This can be done by manually or by using machines.

Turmeric powder is a bright yellow powder made by grinding of dried turmeric rhizomes(underground stems). It is used in almost all Indian curries. This spice has almost no calories (1 tablespoon=24 calories) and zero cholesterol.
